January in Review

January was an absolute whirlwind.

It would be Sunday one day, I’d go to bed, & it’d be the next Sunday already. I said it MULTIPLE times throughout the month- I just couldn’t believe how fast time was going…but that’s how the saying goes, right?

“Time flies when you’re having fun!”

And it is absolutely true. For the first time in my life I am doing work that I am 110% passionate about- bookkeeping, writing, art, printables, & more. But the thing I am even more passionate about is spending time with the people I love- my Savior, my husband, my daughter, friends & family, & I got to do all of the above. January has been a month of exhaustion- running around to get stuff done around the house during naptime, enjoying playtime & giggles, networking for my business, taking online courses to grow in the fields I am working in, developing products, meetings with new clients, solving problems, cooking, living, & just having an amazing time. I am so incredibly grateful for this opportunity & time the Lord has given & I continue to pray I use it for His glory & I pray with faith knowing He will provide what we need when we need it.

Week 1 & 2 were a bit overwhelming as I adjusted to a new schedule, set up my work space, & got used to my routine alongside that of Selah’s & my David’s…not to mention being around our hyper but SWEET dogs 24/7. Week 3 started to feel more like I was getting into a groove, & by week 4 I had established a rhythm that really worked for our family & my businesses.

So far in January I:
– spent more time with God in His Word & in prayer
– brought on 3 new bookkeeping clients, coming to a total of 5 so far
– surpassed my business income goal
– completed 25% of each of the 3 online courses I’m taking
– hit a 31 day streak practicing Spanish daily
– drank way more water than I was before
– spent more time with family & friends
…and SOOO much more.

The past month has been phenomenal & I can’t wait to see what comes next.

I’ve reviewed how I did in January & have already set new goals for February. But ultimately, I’m keeping in mind that first of all, it’s all about Christ, & second, it’s about progress, NOT perfection.

Here’s to February & doing new, awesome things!
