My Fall Bucket List

If you know me, you know how much I love nature & being outdoors (well…at least when I won’t be cooked to death in hundred-degree weather). My two most favorite seasons are Spring & Fall. As much as I love the beautiful flowers & getting my hands dirty out in my garden during Spring, I LOVE the quiet calm of Fall so much more. I feel like it’s just a more relaxing season, altogether. I don’t have to plan & prep a garden, I don’t have to prepare for roasting weather, I can just enjoy it. I can enjoy the colors, the brisk, cool weather, the long sleeves & scarves, the food, fun, & thrill in the air. I. Love. Fall.
So, with the beginning of the season, these are the things I’d love to do this year…

  1. Drink hot apple cider.
  2. Visit the NC State Fair.
  3. Go to the mountains (at least once).
  4. Press & preserve some Fall leaves.
  5. Do a couple’s photoshoot in a Fall setting.
  6. Go camping.
  7. Plant mums as decor around the house.
  8. Sit around a bonfire with friends.
  9. Make s’mores.
  10. Eat lots of turkey & Thanksgiving food.
  11. Visit a pumpkin patch.
  12. Visit a corn maze.
  13. Take a hayride.
  14. Go to a haunted house.
  15. Go to a football game.
  16. Burn a Fall candle. (COMPLETED!)
  17. Watch Hocus Pocus.
  18. Watch Stranger Things.
  19. Figure out & wear a great couple’s costume with muh hubster.
  20. Go hiking.
  21. Bake some Fall bread (pumpkin, apple, zucchini, oh my).
  22. Bake my first pumpkin pie.
  23. Bake a spectacular apple pie.
  24. Carve a pumpkin.
  25. Read a book & drink hot chocolate on a rainy day. (COMPLETED!)
  26. Cook a hearty & healthy stew (or two). (COMPLETED!)
  27. Make a gratitude list.
  28. Visit a Fall festival.
  29. Have a picnic in the park.
  30. Roast pumpkin seeds.
  31. Read a book outdoors.
  32. Go for a morning stroll.
  33. Host a Fall bonfire party.
  34. Eat plenty of fried Fair food.
  35. Thoroughly enjoy the season!

We’ll see how many I get marked off the list! I’ll add a photo collage or slideshow with all the evidence later. 🙂 Happy Fall, ya’ll!!

What things do you hope to enjoy this Fall?

Be blessed, friends!
